Humble beginnings

Great Minds Learning Center Founder Marianne Jylha has a personal connection to dyslexia. For years she watched her daughter Megan struggle to learn with traditional teaching methods. Finally, a dyslexia diagnosis in 4th grade changed everything.

When Megan received instruction that addressed her specific learning needs, she began to flourish. Marianne realized that people with dyslexia can learn to read and spell--and the idea for Great Minds Learning Center took root.

Our mission

The mission of Great Minds Learning Center is to provide children and adults with the necessary reading, spelling, and math skills to accomplish their educational and personal goals.

Great Minds Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Qualified staff

GMLC tutors are trained in instructional methods proven effective for helping dyslexic students learn. Whatever barriers to success your child (or you!) have encountered in the past, our one-on-one tutoring and consistent progress checks will open up the path to success.
